Did I Buy the Wrong Setup? Max Transit Pro Duo Cat 7-Cat 12 LTE Advanced Router vs. Pepwave Max BR1 Pro 5G Cat 20 Modem

I just bought the Max Transit Pro Duo, and I’m now extremely concerned that I should have purchased the Max BR1 with 5G.

First, does the lack of 5G capability explain why my Verizon hotspot plan is dragging and extremely slow? I pulled it from the Inseego device the plan came with, and went from 35+ download to under 20 download when in the Transit Duo Pro.

I purchased this over the Max BR1 based on the fact that I could bond 2 SIM card/plans together.

My T-Mobile plan is not working, but after hours of scouring, this seems like my own fault for not digging further. This is also a plan for a hotspot, but it refuses to configure. If this plan were working, could the overall speeds increase?

I’m worried I dismissed the value of 5G in assumption that 2 plans bonded would be better.

Thank you for any insight.

I have the old Verizon Grandfather prepaid plan from a few years ago and swapped it into a BR1 Pro 5g and was shocked to see come up as 5g with a speed between 250 and 300 on speedtest.
