I have a Pepwave Max Transit Duo. I believe it’s about 4 years old. I was using a Verizon SIM card but had to perform a reset as the SIM card wasn’t working (something in Verizon’s end) but it hasn’t been able to turn back on after the reset. I held the reset button with a pin for 30 seconds as I was trying to reset to factory settings but no lights came on after doing so. I’ve checked the dc plug and I know that’s working fine.
Is it bricked?!
Hello @cdevito97,
Welcome to the Pelink Community Forum.
As you have a MAX Transit Duo, can you power it up from another DC source (between 12VDC and 48VDC) via the DC block?
When you apply power, the Status light should come on red. If it is recovering from a factory reset, leave it powered up for a few minutes to see if it works.
Happy to Help,
Marcus
Attempt a 30 30 30 reset
The 30-30-30 reset is a factory reset procedure for routers that involves pressing and holding the reset button for 30 seconds, then unplugging the router for 30 seconds while continuing to hold the reset button, and plugging it back in while still holding the button down for another 30 seconds.
After the router resets, the lights should come back on.
Used a micro USB. It powered up! But didn’t show up in my WiFi settings. I connected an Ethernet cable to the LAN port to my computer. It connects for 5 seconds and then disconnects and reconnects after a minute and disconnects and so on. I can’t even get into the web admin.
The status light is green but the battery indicator lights are both red. Does this mean the wire isn’t strong enough?
Edit: found a wire that made the light green and it’s working now!
But I can’t get into web admin! I did reset it so I expected the password to be admin. Maybe the reset didn’t reset? The password for the WiFi was the default password so I’m just confused now. Will be resetting again to hopefully fix this problem
