Device Names in InControl app for iOS

hello.

when using the iOS app I’m able to see clients listed by Device Name under the router (Balance One):

but not when viewing clients under access points (AP One AC Mini):

is this expected behavior?

Yes, this is expected behavior.

AP would not learn the hostname for the connected clients and this why it’s only showing the MAC address & IP for the clients. Tentatively for AP firmware 3.6 we may improve the AP client list to include the client hostname info

wonderful. that would make things considerably more user friendly.
