Default settings can't connect to devices on same subnet (LAN)

Reset Pepwave max transit duo latest firmware and can’t browse to devices on local subnet… why?

Even functional saves from working configurations 1 and 2 years ago have same issues. So suspected issues are changes made to last year of firmwares.

The only device that I can connect to directly is the router 192.168.10.1/24

Web interfaces to
192.168.10.9/24 HP Printer
192.168.10.90/24 Victron GX
192.168.10.5/24

I’m not a dummy been working with routers for 20 years.

Same configurations entered on DDWRT, cellular modems, and any other generic router etc all work perfectly. NO CHANGES to clients changing out only router, all work, only the change to the Pepwave makes all fail.

What is the Pepwave doing to block std default local lan clients to be able to pass port 80 traffic to other LAN clients with a clean reset system?

Hello.
Check at your Wireless configuration… L2 isolation… maybe help to solve this.

Where is “L2 Isolation” ? Searched all menu items and sub items don’t see what this is?

I have a flat network all is on same Ssid.
Interesting is that the one device I have working great IS Ethernet (Synology DS1511+). Saying hmm, your on to something…

8.4.1 firmware

The fact that your network is flat and on the same SSID is not relevant to this. But the fact that your Ethernet clients work as you wish is a great tip-off that @MarceloBarros is right. Here’s where you can find the setting …

Peplink hides the parameter you want behind the “?” ink the blue circle. So, select your SSID, then click the “?” and you should see “Layer 2 Isolation.”

No doubt you are correct but clicking on all of the buttons and links etc I can’t get it to show up.

I’m sure it’s on but can’t turn it off.
Solid confidence you got this one right but Pepwave Devs decided not to allow me to turn it off… this should be off be default.

Hi…
At your peplink… choose AP.
choose your SSID
choose " ? "
click at " here "

This is show for you the advanced setting… where you can see the " Layer 2 Isolation "
okay?

OMG!

Yeah! Yes! Oh yes!

Was “off” hmm… So I turned it on. Saved turned it off.
I’m a retired software Architect/dev so expected system to be confused being it never ran through a full cycle of toggles… yep.

Bingo! My sincere personal thank you. This makes sense afterwards but damn was making me hate my pepwave.

Looks like @MarceloBarros gave you further direction while I was away and you have met with success. There have been many questions here on the Forum relating to important hidden parameters hidden behind the “?” icons. Hopefully at some point Peplink will fix this. What you wanted to do was not something that really needed to be “protected.” Glad its working for you now.

Right.

Lousy choice for a default value unless a warning is displayed where their “So important VPN” expiration notice is. That should have a turn it off option too.

Crappy interface for “Advanced Parms” it should be labeled just as that… if you have to have knowledge of something to operate a device …it’s a badly designed interface.
Just like having to have router reboot every 24 hours to gain reliability. And that feature is hidden behind the maint.cgi… argh

Then there is that taunting “you don’t have it” “vlan Wan1” on the main page. Rubs me wrong.

Honest thoughts of the most expensive modem I ever seen… That should not be that expensive as it’s just a DDWRT with cel features. I say that as the coding in the DDWRT is more reliable. I never had to force a daily reboot.
