Our company are using 12GB simcards that last for 6 years. After 12GB of data is used, the simcard data is stopped by the carrier.
It is vital that we track the usage accurately, so we can arrange a simcard top up at the correct time. The Sim pools are currently restricted to daily, weekly, monthly or yearly:
My wish is that you can configure a carrier or sim card pool which has a “customisable duration”, in addition to the daily/weekly/monthly/yearly options that are currently present. In my case, I would be able to set the cycle to every 6 years.
I agree the time frame is odd , but not the request to customize duration.
One thing that would be useful is number of months, or a specific end date.
Let’s say that you have a 12 month subscription , but you.only started using a Pepwave 3 months in and have 9 months left.
I agree with a end date , another solution might be a trigger to reserve for management on a specific date.
A specific expiry date / end date for a SIM or SIM pool would be very handy for us.
We buy what are essentially pre-paid SIMs which are valid for a number of months / years with a set amount of data per month, currently we just treat them like regular contract SIMs with another system used to keep track of when each one would expire but being able to manage this via Ic2 would be handy.
Especially as these are often loaded into SIM injectors and the like for use in pools / fusionsim setups.
