CVE-2022-0778 firmware 8.2.1

Hi all! Wondering if this Denial of service is caused by malfucntion or if the problem is related to any real threat and I should be worried.
So the status of my issue is: I got the firmware 8.2.1 in one of my rolling firmware blocked 2x by a Flood Atack Filtering I have external to the pepwave router.
The settings of this external aplication are to block:
ICMP-Flood Packets Threshold: 50 Packets/Secs
UDP -Flood Packets Threshold: 500 Packets/Secs
TCP-SYN -Flood Packets Threshold: 50 Packets/Secs
Also Forbiding Ping Packet from Pepwave LAN Port to this middle aplication before getting in the ISP Router (bridged)
Mainly I’m using the wireless of this external apliance to acess the internet. As if I was in an hotel and getting wifi in the pepwave to acess the net.
Ok so far so good
on both blocked situations I was using diferent machines.
1 st using win 10 on an HP PC + 2 Androids (tablet and mobile)
2 nd using a totaly diferent mobile (MI rednote) nothing else connected - I was using playstore to update apps.
The second time I got blocked didn’t made any sense to me and that’s when I tought of the router. After all this situation I tought it would be better to check about pepwave firmware releases and when I got to the PDF about fixes and reed the CVE fix - denial of service openssl infinite loops in all models.
My 2nd question is if this new update could explain what I described above? Or what should I do? Any miss configuration or malfunction?
By this time I changed to the 8.2.0 2nd reboot option and wondering if I’m safe with 30Gb of internet and all this requests being made to the ISP
