I have a new MAX BRI Pro 5G. Can I install a standard USB connector using the red and black wires. That kind of connector is commonly available next to regular 110v wall plugs and in automobiles, RVs, boats, etc.
Your USB connector is going to have 5V and a limited number of Amps per specs. Your BR1 is looking for a minimum of 12V (per the specs), so no, taking the 12V Molex to bare wire connecter would not be a solution. There is a 12V cigarette lighter plug with the molex Peplink connector - ACW-643. It’s about $30.
