Connecting to 3rd Party Wi-Fi Portals

Need some help with this one. We have a Pepwave MAX br1 installed in our RV with a cellular card. The system works great and is a must have for working on the road. Connecting to RV parks Wi-Fi is easy when the only requirement is to select the park’s Wi-Fi and entering passcodes. What I can’t figure out is how to configure the peplink portal with 3rd party username and passcode configurations. Appreciate any guidance.

The way to do this is:

  1. login to the BR1 set WiFi WAN as priority 1 on the dashboard, everything else Priority 2
  2. Edit wifi wan settings, disable healthcheck. Save and apply
  3. Go to access the internet, you’ll see the parks WiFi captive portal. Do whatever you need to do to get access to the internet.
  4. Once connected, turn the healthcheck back on so that if wifi wan fails you failover to cellular.
