Connecting a network printer via cable

Hello
I’m using: Peplink MAX_BR2_Pro_11AB
I’d appreciate some advice, as I don’t have any experience with this router yet.
When I connect the printer to the LAN1 port (using an Ethernet cable), what do I need to do next to make it available on my Wi-Fi network for a laptop running Windows 11?
Thank you

WiFi generally works like an extension to the wired network. The printer should appear like any WiFi device.

You need to make sure the printer is on the same VLAN as the WiFi. If you haven’t messed with VLANs, it’ll be fine by default.

You may need to make sure “Guest Protect” is not enabled under the WiFi’s SSID.

Hi Barry,
abut the printer will be connected via a wired connection to the LAN1 port.
Once I’ve connected it to the LAN1 port, where will I see it in the router, and how do I make it shared on the network?
Thank you
Tomek

Once connected, you should see it on the router, on the web interface, Status: Client List.

Sharing is entirely up to the printer, you’d have look at its manual, or its menus. It might have a configuration page if you try connecting your web browser to the IP address shown in the client list.

I think the printer will be accessible via the share \peplink_ip_address\Printer.
I’ll let you know once I’ve finished setting it up.
Thanks
