I’m having trouble getting internet access on a Peplink modem connected to another Peplink modem (both are Max BR1s).
I have Peplink modem A connected via WiFi to my home router for internet access.
Then I have Peplink modem B connected to the WiFi of Peplink modem A.
But Peplink modem B shows that it’s connected to a WiFi source of Peplink modem A but when I connect to the WiFi of modem b, I don’t have internet access.
Why isn’t this working?
For anyone who reads this post, I figured out the issue.
It was an IP-addressing issue. I created a new LAN on Modem A, which was different addressing as the first LAN (which is on both Modems). I assigned the LAN for the AP to use to the new LAN I just created. Now Modem B has internet access.
The problem was both modems had the IP address of 192.168.50.1. Once the range of IP addresses the AP used was changed to a different network, then Modem B could access the internet.
