I am currently trying to find a router that has built-in cellular back-up, but will also allow me to put a drop-in mode on the Primary WAN connection. I can Drop-In mode listed in the manual for MAX series routers, but none of the BR1 series has this feature. Can someone provide a list of all the router that has Drop-In mode compatible routers?
For cellular the HD2 and HD4 support drop in mode. The BR1 as you mentioned does not support it. The Balance 30 which is very similar to a BR1 doesn’t support it out of the box but it can be added on via an upgrade but only if purchased through a SpeedFusion Alliance partner. That’s the cheapest way to do drop in mode failing over to 1 LTE SIM card, otherwise you’d want the HD2 or HD4.

Recently we have a lot of partners requesting BR1 series to support drop-in mode feature. Feature request had been filed for Engineering team to consider the feasibility. As for now, we have no ETA for the feature. Will post again when receive good news from Engineering & Marketing team.
