Cant send E-Mails Through Max-BR1-AE

Hello
I have a remote Astronomical Observatory, with a Pepwave MAX-BR1-AE V2 (7.1.1) build 3102.
My requirement is for Astro equipment to send me e-mail notifications when there are unsafe conditions (rain etc). The problem is that the e-mail notifications appear to be blocked by the BR1. As a test, I try to send test e-mails from the BR1 but they are also failing. The settings are shown below:
Firewall set to “Allow all”.
Email Notification = on
SMTP Server = I have tried both smtp-mail.outlook.com and smtp.live.com resulting with the same send failure.
Requires Auth = Yes
SSL Encryption = Yes
Port = I have tried 25/587/465
SMTP Username = [email protected] (My e-mail address)
SMTP Password = ***** (My e-mail password)
Senders e-mail Address = [email protected] (My e-mail address)
Recipients E-Mail address = [email protected] (My e-mail address)
Any of these settings result in the error:
INFO] Try email through auto detected connection
[ERROR] Can’t connect using SSL
[INFO] Try email through connection #2
[ERROR] Can’t connect using SSL
[INFO] Try email through connection #0
[ERROR] sig_alrm: Timeout (14)!!!

Any Assistance Appreciated.
Thank you
Adrien Richardson

I do not think that Peplink is blocking it. Please try telnet to these smtp servers(telnet ports 587 and 465) and check if ports are really closed. If telnet fails, then I would try it again, but this time without peplink and directly connected to ISP.
