Cannot undo virtual wan without reboot on Balance 2

Hi,

I am on firmware 8.3.0. I have a Balance Two with two virtual WAN licenses. Activating two LAN ports as WAN ports works like a charm (described elsewhere how that is done). However, I wanted to undo one of the virtual WAN ports. Meaning, make it a regular LAN port again. I disabled the virtual WAN link in the WAN settings, and set its uplink interface to “not configured”. Next I changed the PORT settings for this LAN port back to “Trunk” and “Any” for the VLAN. You would think that would do it, but nope. I could not get that LAN port to work, it never gave out an IP address to my laptop.

Only after I rebooted the Balance 2 it did work (thank goodness). But I wasn’t expecting to have to reboot.

Bug?
