in security settings i changed http to https option and timeout from 4 hrs. to 2 hrs. and now when i type in 192.168.50.1 my computer wont connect to pepwave soho surf router.
You have to type HTTPS://192.168.50.1
If you changed the port number, you also need to add that.
For example, using port number 99 would be
HTTPS://192.168.50.1:99

Thanks Michael, i had changed the http setting to https during setup and forgot to add the s when trying to reconnect. Do you know why under sysytem on router website the time zone is (GMT) Casablanca? its obviously default but i was nervous to change it to U.S. as i am a router greenhorn.
Hi. The router does not really care what time zone you select. On some we use the “real” time zone where it is located and some we set to UTC/GMT/Zulu.
You won’t mess anything up by changing the time zone.
