Can SpeedFusion Connect/Cloud service be used to create a site to site VPN?

If I sign up for the SpeedFusion Connect (formerly Cloud) service, can I use it to create a site to site VPN between sites with Peplink routers? It will be used for occasional remote access and management between the sites, and I’m trying to come up with something with appropriate cost and complexity.

As I understand it, and I have zero confidence that I understand it correctly, here’s what I would need.

Site A:
Max Transit running 8.3.0
WAN connection via Starlink, no public IP address
Default internet traffic via WAN (no SpeedFusion involvement required or desired)
$20/6 mo minimum SpeedFusion Connect subscription
VPN connection to SpeedFusion Connect over WAN
Site B traffic routed to VPN, to be relayed to Site B by SpeedFusion

Site B:
Balance 20X running 8.3.0
WAN connection via Starlink, no public IP address
Default internet traffic via WAN (no SpeedFusion involvement required or desired)
$20/6 mo minimum SpeedFusion Connect subscription
VPN connection to SpeedFusion Connect via WAN
Site A traffic routed to VPN, to be relayed to Site A by SpeedFusion

I don’t care about all the features of SpeedFusion - all I want is site to site VPN for occasional remote access. Can the SpeedFusion Connect service provide that? I have been told that it can, but I have also been told that it can’t and that I need to host a FusionHub somewhere. For what I need, the cost of FusionHub plus hosting plus care contracts is way more than it’s worth.

Also, assuming is can work:

  • Is it REQUIRED that this be managed via InControl? This is a pretty simple setup, and I honestly don’t want to take on and deal with InControl and the required annual care packages for everything. That’s all great stuff for enterprise management, but massively overkill for this simple setup.

  • Are annual Care packages required to keep this running, or will it turn into a pumpkin after a year?

Thanks in advance
