I am trying to get a BYO eSIM activated on a B-ONE-5G. I am not using InControl as it is overkill for my one router setup. The local web interface only shows Peplink eSIM. Is it possible to configure a BYO eSIM through the local web admin interface?
You do get 1 year of IC2 for free, so why not use that to do the BYOD eSIM activation ?
Hi, I’m running into a similar problem. I used the IC2 free plan to activate the BYO eSIM at first, but now I need to reconfigure it to use another provider, and my IC2 plan has already expired (buying it would be overkill for our configuration). Is it possible to make it through the WebAdmin?
IC2 is required to provision eSIM, per Peplink.
Hi Noah, thanks for the response. I have another case:
The eSIM on a MAX-BR1-MINI was activated during the PC free year. That ICCID was canceled and is now reactivated; however, the router doesn’t recognize it or connect to the internet.
Is there somewhere in the WebAdmin where I can tweak the configurations to reactivate, or is IC2 required for this as well?
All eSIM operations are done via the Tools menu on the device page in IC2. You probably need to re-install the eSIM to get it working (IC2 required), and make sure then in the device the correct BYOD eSIM slot is active (IC2 not required for that part).
