BR2 Pro Dual 5G SIM Bandwidth Bonding and Hot failover Demo

Hi Everyone,

I am based in Singapore and I would like to showcase to a potential client with the BR2 Pro capability. Particular SIM WAN bandwidth bonding and Hot failover

I am connected with 2 different telco 5G SIM card.
Connected to SFC Singapore (lowest latency server)
The SFC profile have a default tunnel with Dynamic Weighted Bonding. I created another tunnel and just changed the traffic distribution policy to ‘Bonding’ and left all other settings as it is.
I did not change any outbound policy. the default HTTPS Persistance remains.

Both SIM is on priority 1

Whenever i do a ping test to google. there will be ‘request timed out’ displayed for 1 or 2 lines when i drag one connection to disabled. is this normal? it will just be continuous when i drag it to standby instead.

I am not getting a speed ‘boost’ when i do a speed test . i understand it is caps at 200mbps for SFC connect. however the test results doesn’t seems favorable for me to showcase. I would just like to show that with DUAL SIM Connection bonded, there will be a speed bump.

Looking for any expert advice, please correct me if my understanding is wrong or is there any ‘wrong’ configuration Thanks!

Go to your Status > Speedfusion page and click the graph button next to the SFC connection. That will show you the live graph / status of traffic going over each wan and the end result of the bonded connection.

Verify that you are using the SFC connection for your traffic by running a speed test on a connected device and checking that the traffic is shown on the graph.

Then with a continuous ping running and maybe a file download (I use ISOs from ubuntu), try changing the link priority and see what happens in the graph.

Post a screen shot of the graph here for review.

hi @MartinLangmaid . this is the SS .

hi @MartinLangmaid , could i have you advise on what went wrong? thanks!

  1. Cellular 2 has tons of packet loss
  2. There us also considerable latency making it fairly useless
  3. Speedfusion is trying not to use it becuase of the packetloss
  4. Cellular 1 has out of order packets (I expect its a roaming SIM or MVNO SIM?) oop impact latency of the tunnel

I can’t see the bottom of the graphs - are you using dynamic weighted bonding? Is FEC working hard on cellular 1?

all are local SIM from Singapore not on roaming.
SIM 1 is on a Prepaid from Main Telco. Not MVNO. 5G SIM
SIM 2 is on MVNO. 4G only.

Yes i am using Dynamic Weighted Bonding . FEC is not turned on.
