I read some having issues with using T-Mobile on their BR1 Pro 5G. Has this issue been resolved? I’m considering purchasing a BR1 Pro but T-Mobile would be my primary carrier. I need to have reliable service with them.
I use T-Mobile in my BR1 and BR2 without an issue.
Hi @Julius_Tomsits. We’ve sold a few BR1 Pros (CAT20 and 5G) and the owners have reported no issues with TMO. I just returned from a lengthy trip (>1800 miles) where my BR1 Pro 5G worked fine with TMO across five states in the USA in a mobile environment.

I have one a BR1 Pro 5G with a T-Mobile SIM in our boat on the Chesapeake and it’s been working fine. I suppose it’s also going to depend on where you’re going and how effective the coverage is for T-Mobile in those areas. No radio is going to be able to overcome poor coverage/throughput. A better antenna can help improve xmit/recv. Also consider that 5G generally tends to need nearby towers. So if you’re talking about remote areas you may not be able to get 5G performance (regardless of radios or antennas).
