BR1 Pro 5G Router

I have a new BR1 Pro 5G router and have it connected to a Cellular SIM Card and also Starlink (WAN) port. When I drag the Starlink from Disabled to Priority 1, it does not connect and reads “No Cable Detected”. I do have the Starlink ethernet adapter installed with a ethernet cable inserted from Starlink directly into the WAN port on the Pepwave router.

Any help on what I’m doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried swapping the cable?

Are there LED activity lights on the port when its plugged in?

@Robert_Hutchings, if you have done the isolation steps as suggested by @erickufrin and still could not get the Starlink connected, then you may submit a ticket for us to take a closer look at it.

FYI, we have tested the Starlink + ETH Adapter with similar models (same Ethernet chipset) and didn’t see the behavior as you described.

I’ve tried a new ethernet cable and a new Starlink ethernet adapter and neither work. There are no lights on when the cable is plugged in to the WAN port

Thank you, I have created a ticket.

Does the ethernet port of the starlink adapter work fine with other devices? I assume yes…

I ordered a switch and it’s now installed. Peplink is now seeing the Starlink ethernet however, all I get is connecting. Screenshots of the setup is attached.

It’s the only device with an ethernet connection

Without another device with a known-good ethernet its not possible to rule out the Starlink router 100%, and based on the ethernet switch not solving it I would lean towards there being an issue with the Starlink router.

I own the current gen of starlink and I have customized the cable off the starlink dish to eliminate the starlink router. I customized the cable to allow me to plug the dish directly into a 48v passive poe injector. From there I route directly into my Peplink device.

Once you solve the problem you might want to consider doing the “hack” to eliminate the starlink router.

We had to turn off the health check. I will submit a ticket with our vendor to see what we can do with Starlink for healthcheck.
