I know this is probably a low priority, but it’d be nice if my B One 5G could reach out to my iPhone via the Bluetooth PAN protocol and use it as a last resort WAN.
Why not just configure WiFi as wan to you iPhone and then leave personal hotspot off. When you need it in a bind, just enable your hotspot. I have been doing this for sometime.
Oh sure. It’s just not automatic. That’s why I expect this is feature request is low priority.
[EDIT] Also I just verified that if one uses USB or Bluetooth to tether to an iPhone, then it doesn’t implicitly enable the WiFi hotspot, which is great because then other devices don’t accidentally connect to the phone directly when they should stay connected to the Peplink WiFi. And that also saves battery on the iPhone if you’re using Bluetooth.
