Hello, can you help me why at night at a similar time I have max br2 bandwidth usage, what devices can download from the internet at this time?
Hi, @It1-psp
Maybe the Content Blocking.
You can disable this at the support page.
The support page can be access, changing the default url of your device.
Sample.
After your logon at your device, you will see as url:
https://x.x.x.x/cgi-bin/MANGA/index.cgi?mode=config&option=main
replace the index.cgi and the words/commands, after index.cgi
https://x.x.x.x/cgi-bin/MANGA/support.cgi
Look for Download package updates
disable it.
back to dashboard of the device and do Apply changes.
so I understand that after changing the device url to the support.cgi ending I will be able to enter additional options where I will disable downloading packages and then at night at this time I will no longer have such a load
I am on this page and I understand that if I turn this option off, there will be no load at night
Correct…
Don’t forget…
- disable it.
- back to dashboard of the device and do Apply changes.
that’s what I did - after switching it off I went back to the dashboard site and accepted it - I’ll see tomorrow if there’s any bandwidth usage
will inform about the results
I checked today, and indeed at night at 3:00 am there is no such consumption, thanks for your help
but I have one more question why one mobile network had a bandwidth of about 23 MB and the other much less and why after logging in to incontrol I immediately see a drop at the moment of logging in, what should be the average bandwidth consumption if I am not currently using a device that is in the speedfusion tunnel
Hum…
Maybe we need to do a network capure, just a few minutes, to check what more your device have.
Do you have speedfusion?
What Peplink device you have?
How you use it?
Thank you.
peplink maxbr2 - speedfushion(Layer2) - Fushion hub ->Office
Hi…
Layer 2 Speedfusion… There is a broadcast, bonjour and other network procotols passing between both devices.
To be sure… only doing a network capture.
how to do network capture - is it done via incontrol or on max br2 device
Hi…
Go to support.cgi of your device…
Select Network Capture
" Connection All"
Select START
wait around one minute, only.
Select STOP
Download the package.
Try to share with Forum.
Try to do this, when you have a minimal network activity.
Can I review this report myself? What are the tools for reviewing it?
Hi.
Use Wireshark… It is free.
