Balance One Default WiFi Password

For whatever reason, my Balance One failed on me today. It will not assign IPs or allow access. WAN connection etc seems to be working, but no way to access unit due to failure to assign LAN IPs.

Reset unit.

Still will not assign LAN IPs.

However, internal WiFi did turn on and broadcasting. Trying to connect, but it is password protected.

Have spent the better part of an hour looking for the default WiFi Password for Balance One and striking out everywhere, including the Peplink Manual.

Anyone know what the default WiFi password is?

Hi @BeachComber1,

The Default WiFi password is the last 8 digits of the LAN MAC address, which can be found on the silver label on the bottom of the Balance One. Note, these are the last 8 digits, excluding the :

so A1:B2:C3:D4 would be A1B2C3D4 for example.

BeachComber1 Did you manage to fix it? I’m having the exact same issue. I managed to login with the WiFi password but no wired LAN IP’s are being generated.
