Balance One Core and Balance 210 for Dual WAN at Home

Recently found a good deal and purchased both. Have been struggling with getting drop in mode to work. My internet speeds are 500+ so my thought process is to ditch the 210 and try and make the One Core work.

  • Primary WAN: Spectrum (Single Dynamic IP)
  • Backup WAN: Netgear MR1100 with T-Mobile LTE Data Plan
  • Local LAN: Unifi AP’s, Switches, Router all running on a 192.168.x.x network segmented in 4 diff vlans. Nothing complex or fancy.

Goal is simply to have WAN Failover to backup in the event Primary WAN goes down. I already have a UNIFI router/firewall in place so I’m really wanting this to simply take care of the WAN Failover piece.

Tried to setup via drop in mode using shared IP (public WAN IP) but have not been able to get it working. I’m running the newest firmware pulled directly from the firmware update in the Web UI. I believe it’s 8.3.0.

If anyone has a very brief example of how this should be configured it would be greatly appreciated. I’ve spent the last two days scouring this forum to no avail. First time Peplink user so this is still all a bit foreign to me.
