Balance 380 firmware

Our Peplink Balance is about 5 years old and so likely out of warranty. Firmware reads as v4.8.2 build 1195 and when I click update firmware via the admin panel it says “Your firmware is already up to date”. I have tried to manually update the firmware to the version immediately pre-dating 6, but the update failed.

What firmware should my device be running? Do I have to purchase further warranty to obtain it?

Firmare 5.x and 6.x were major upgrades and as long as your device is in warranty there is no charge to upgrade.

If you purchase an extended warranty now, you would receive unlock keys to get you up to 6.x
