Balance 310 problems

Hi,

We are having some intermittent problem with our balance 310. Last week, my boss had to restart it 4 times, which is unacceptable. Can the Balance 310 go bad?? it’s not like it’s a hard drive or something so what can go wrong with a device like this? What should I do to make it run like in the begining? Would taking snapshot of every settings, then resetting the balance to it’s default, and reentering the settings work? Can you make a Hard reset? how?
