[Balance 30 LTE] Health check failed, not switching to another interface

Hi,
I’m configuring a Peplink Balance 30 and have issues for iface failover.

When I’m unplugging the fiber from my ISP router, the peplink balance prompts a “WAN failed DNS test” health report, but it’s not using any other interface as a failover.

My policy is a priority one, including my WAN1 interface and my LTE interface (Backup Group 1). If the WAN1 health check fails, the traffic is routed through the LTE interface.

When unplugging the WAN1 interface of the Peplink, the failover is performed as it has to. but the status is “No Cable Detected” that is not the same as before.

What could be the cause of the problem ?

Thanks

Hi @Naelwan,

Please help to clarify the problem. This seems to be normal behavior, when you remove the cable it is reporting that there is no cable detected.

Thank you.[quote=“Naelwan, post:1, topic:8945”]

Change your backup WAN to always on. With it as a backup, there will be a longer initialization time for failover. Leave them both connected always on, then your priority outbound policy will work like you want.
