Hi All,
Looking for some guidance here…
I’ve got a Balance 20x that is currently load balancing Starlink on the WAN port and a Bell Canada DSL 50/7 line. I have lots of reasons for this, there are 5 of us here, constant streaming, gaming, working from home or school via video, etc. It works great! Peplink is awesome.
I also have a second DSL line that is ONLY being used for Bell Fibe TV and it requires a 25mbps DSL. I’ve tried (and failed) to consolidate the lines with Bell, it is what it is. I was actually getting ready to cancel the TV and 25mbps line, when I saw the Virtual WAN license for the 20x.
If I am understanding this correctly, I can use the license (which is pretty expensive, so I want to be sure) to add a 3rd WAN port.
Am I correct on this? It essentially turns the LAN port into a WAN port via VWAN? I can put a switch in there if necessary, but I don’t think I have to. Then, as long as I’m paying for the 25mbps line anyway, I can use it for something.
Are there any limitations to this?
Thanks
