Balance 20X Stuck on "Obtaining IP Address" with eSIM/SIM with Philippine Sim

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with my Balance 20X router where it’s getting stuck on “obtaining IP address” specifically when using an eSIM or SIM card for the cellular connection. I’ve tried restarting the router and checking the settings, but the problem persists.

Has anyone else faced this issue? If so, were you able to find a solution? Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I was just in an area where cellular signals were unusable. I had to drive 1 mile to get a connection on a regular cel phone… But rather than reporting unusable signal both connections (AT&T, T-Mobile) stayed in “Obtaining IP”. This tells me “hey I got a good connection and passing data, but DHCP server won’t hand out an IP” which is totally wrong.

We have the same issue on Balance 20X firmware 8.5.0 with the latest SIM Module firmware installed.

Confirming I too have the latest SIM firmwares updated on both ATT and T-Mobile.
