Hi all, I am running into a frustrating content filtering issue on our Balance 20X running firmware 8.3.0 and could use some advice from the community. A couple of users on our secondary VLAN are trying to access bloxfruit-scripts com for gaming scripts and related setup tutorials, but the router appears to flag the domain under suspicious or uncategorized traffic and drops the TCP connection before the page finishes loading. The main issue is that even when I explicitly add the domain to the allowed websites whitelist under the Content Filtering tab, clients still get intermittent connection reset errors whenever they click around the site or try to learn more about specific configuration parameters. In addition to the domain blocking, we are noticing that our local DNS proxy seems to cache the failed lookup for several minutes, causing other devices to time out as well. Has anyone seen the web categorization database aggressively mislabeling community gaming domains like this, and is there a recommended way to bypass deep packet inspection or fix the DNS proxy caching without completely disabling the content filter for the entire network?
My first piece of advice would be get on a more current firmware, 8.3.0 has a ton of known vulnerabilities.
