B One with AP One AX Lite or AP One AX

Hello! I’m currently using a B One and a AP One Mini AC in a residential setting of 1800 sq ft. The B One is on one side of the home in the basement since all the network wiring is terminated there. The AP One Mini is located in the center of the home in the basement and connected by ethernet. I’m getting occasional drop outs and would like to upgrade to the AP One AX or the AX Lite since the B One is WiFi6. My question is would the AP One AX Lite be good enough for this situation?

Thanks in advance!

its hard to say, AP coverage is as much about your local installation as anything. Is it mounted up high, free from obstructions and with as clear a path as it can to the clients, avoiding obstacles etc?

In pure comparison: AP One Series Comparison Table - Peplink

The AC Mini total gain (max power plus antenna) is 22.5db in the 2.4ghz band (which has better coverage but lower speeds than the 5ghz band).

ax lite is 27db, ax is 30db

so the ax will have better coverage in the same environment.

The AX has 4x4 MU-MIMO compared to the AX Lite that has 2x2 MU-MIMO like the AC Mini. Depending on the clients used that can make an even bigger difference in performance and coverage. Antenna Gain differs per model as well.
