I’m considering replacing a Balance 210 with a B One to make use of the higher firewall throughput. This will be a remote unit and I’m trying to figure out if it can be managed by directly accessing it over HTTPS like you can on the Balance 210. In the FAQ for the B One it seems to indicate that you need to use InControl/PrimeCare which will eventually start to incur recurring costs for a subscription. Can’t it be managed directly over HTTPS?
Hi, @hasherati
Yes… It can be managed by http/https.
Yes… Some features, need to be renew, using primecare/primecare+.
Please… Take a look at this link
Sample…
Thanks @MarceloBarros. I’m not worried about the SpeedFusion features. Just want to be sure I can manage it remotely without InControl or any other licensing required. Are you 100% sure this is the case? Would love to see a screen shot of the admin UI that shows it if you have one.
Hi…
I don’t have B-ONE in hands… still doing Anatel.
But… look at this video.
You will see the dashboard of the device.
To manage it remotely… It is like any other network device. You will need a public ip address at wan interface.
@hasherati: @MarceloBarros is correct. The great majority of our customers manage their devices in the manner manner you describe. The UI of all Peplink routers is virtually identical in that regard.
