B One power plug adapters

I just got a B One unit, I was surprised to find it came with international plug adapters for the power supply. There’s extra prongs for UK, Euro, and Oceania.

Is this legitimate? Previous products I’ve got which had adapters like that were often because they were “parallel imports”, not official US products.

I note that the data sheet says the B One sku is “Global”, for which the adapters would help.

However the data sheet also doesn’t mention them as part of the package contents, just “1x 12V 3A 4 Pin Power Supply”. It’d be a handy thing to note on the data sheet. (He says after plugging a US unit into a UK plug on a boat in the Scottish Hebrides this year.)

The B One is at a remote site, so I never saw these, until I was asked what should be done with the adapters.

I’ll also note the B One looks like a really nice unit for a really nice price.

Nope, that’s the way it is. Peplink was thoughtful and included a wall-wart that can be used on multiple continents. :<)
(And, I agree with your comments re “looks” and price. :+1:)

It is a bit of a waste of money BUT it allows Peplink to have one SKU for worldwide distribution.

As there are many partners with international customers, the single SKU is a cost-effective choice made by Peplink (many products designed for the world market now come that way).

And for the question,

You can eWaste those additional parts as per your local requirements :slight_smile:
