B One 5G - Wi-Fi as WAN Routinely connecting and disconnecting

B One 5G
Firmware: 8.5.0 build 5636

I am experiencing a peculiar issue. My Wi-Fi as WAN keeps ping ponging from connected to disconnected even when I have it in the “Disabled” group on the main page. I’ve noticed several times that it seems to revert back into group “Priority 1 (Highest)” and will not stay in the “Disabled” group. I’ve made sure that my Wi-Fi profiles saved for WAN are empty. The Apply Configuration button never appears.

Troubleshooting Steps Completed:
Tested from InControl2
Tested from LAN side Admin Page
Moved Wi-Fi WAN on 2.4GHz (quickly self bounces back up to Priority 1
Moved Wi-Fi WAN on 5 GHz (quickly self bounces back up to Priority 1
Moved VLAN WAN 1 (quickly self bounces back up to Priority 1
Moved WAN 1 to Priority 2 (quickly self bounces back up to Priority 1)
Rebooted unit multiple times.

Basically it never keeps any of my custom Priority selections.

Additionally, I’ve noticed at times the AT&T FirstNet will disconnect and state no signal, but the RSSI will show outstanding signal strength. This is my primary Internet source and has an unlimited data plan on 5G with no throttling. So this makes very little sense to me too.

@KD7CAO ,

Can you please create a ticket here for support team to check ?
https://ticket.peplink.com/ticket/new/public

Also, do you manage the device using Peplink Apps ?

Yes I will open a ticket.

I’ve tried the app, InControl2, and local administrator accounts.

Are you able to move one wan at a time to priority2 , wait for it to stabilize before moving another wan?

Frontier asked that I discontinue use of the app. Once I disconnected it from InControl2 everything settled down and worked peoperly. No issues since that occurred.

I think the issue is solved. It would be nice if the app worked, but ai can live without it. The InControl2 app works.

interesting, so you think the peplink app and incontrol2 configs were fighting each other?
