AWS FusionHub Error during license verification

This happens every time I launch a new instance on AWS, I’m applying FusionHub Solo License and upgrading the FusionHub firmware version doesn’t help. I’m encountering the error below:

“Error during license verification, please try again later.”

I had this problem and managed to solve it. I’m using AWS.

I think the problem occurred because I selected a restrictive security group when I created the AMI on AWS. That restrictive security group probably prevented the new virtual router from phoning home to Peplink. A symptom was the password of my new virtual router was “admin” rather than the instance ID.

The problem was solved by me destroying the defective virtual router (i.e. terminating it), and then re-creating a new one from the AMI, but making sure to allow Peplink’s default permissive security groups (one that let the whole world access the router) just long enough to enter the license key…then lock it down.
