I’d like to use my existing NETGEAR MR90/MS90 LAN as access points to my Pepwave Max BR1 Pro 5G. I have established the NETGEAR MR90 in access point mode and the BR1 is assigning the IP addresses to downstream devices. So it’s working, but my outbound policies are quirky, and reviewing the AP tab in the console doesn’t seem to identify the NETGEAR equipment as managed APs…………hence I suspect I don’t have the access points properly set-up. Seeking guidance or advise that I might be fighting a battle that can’t be won.
Hi…
The AP tab in your Peplink to manage APs… only works with AP made by Peplink.
Just disable your AP in your BR1, make sure your Netgear APs are in bridge mode so your Peplink passes out the IP and Yu don’t have double NAT.
I do this in my house. I use a different mesh access points with my Peplink and it works great. In order to manage the APs you would not use your Peplink, Intouch may work to manage them.
Do you run any outbound policies on the BR1? I’m currently running an outbound policy for VPN and wanted to run others to redirect some traffic to a non-vpn WAN. I’ve set-up port 2 as a second WAN.
