Ask peplink

Hi all

we want to install pepwave MAX700 and pepwave HD2

There are several points we need to know:
A. Because our application is a single video conference session requires a minimumnamum 512 kbps link, then the first session should be divided into multiple operatortraffiknya (3G dongle). How can Peplink solution to address the issue of reconstructionof the packet / stream from the user and the data center that will occur because of differences in delay of the multiple 3G operator?

  1. From the discussion earlier, it takes a static IP assignment for each of the existingGSM card so it can be made into a tunnel. Are not there other mechanisms toworkaround this situation? For example, using a dynamic VPN tunnel? Is this amandatory requirement?

  2. Is load balancing between multiple uplink algorithm can be in the mix? For example, persistence mode for HTTPS applications while other applications use the weighted round robin.

Thanks Tri,

A) Packets are reassembled before exiting the bonded SpeedFusion connection. Latency difference between different 3G links will be catered for to ensure your video stream will come out of Peplink at the receiver end exactly as it enters SpeedFusion.

  1. Here is the IP requirement for Site-to-Site VPN / SpeedFusion at http://www.peplink.com/index.php?view=faq&id=150

  2. We can use outbound policy to fine-tune outbound Internet traffic. We can also use Enforce or Priority outbound policy to force traffic to go in or go out of the bonded SpeedFusion connection. For packets inside the bonded SpeedFusion connection, Peplink will send them across dynamically taking account for real-time link status, for best performance.
