Hi everyone:
Got a quick question for all, apparently an “issue” that we have apparently just discovered with regards to the WiFi on the AP One AC Mini.
We are trying to use the AP One’s to work with Spectralink 8440/8441 series WiFi handsets, however, when we configured the SSID and WPA2-PSK keys etc, the handsets reports that is cannot see any WiFi AP. We have confirmed the SSID is working OK – multiple devices (iPhones, Android phones, laptops etc) can see the SSID and join the network, but not the Spectralink phones.
For the record, the Spectralink phones does not have any issues when trying to connect to WiFi APs from Meru/Fortinet, so I am not sure what could be wrong here. I’m thinking maybe the AP and handset are not using exact same frequencies, but I have the AP set for New Zealand and similarly the handset is set for Regulatory Domain to which is for EU/AU/NZ…
When I carry out a Diagnostic check on the handset, it seems the handset is seeing “funny characters” in the SSID name, however, it could pick up and recignise the BSSID of the AP. See attached pictures taken from the handset.
The AP is running firmware 3.6.0 build 1805 and the WiFi settings are being managed by IC2, but I have also tried it on another AP One running with the same firmware but in standalone mode and the issue remains.
Any thoughts/ideas about this?
Thanks.
