AP controller instead of incontrol2

Hi Team,

we have a customer which have some issues with the incontrol2 as a cloud management tool. In fact, according to internal policy, he requires that all MAX BR1 instaled in buses should not be managed via a cloud management tool that means should be managed locally.
what I suggest that all MAX BR1 will be connected to a balance in the headquarters and that balance manage localy via AP controller the routers is it possible? other questions: could AP controller provide the same features as incontrol2 : Advertisement tool/reporting tool, fleet management ect.

Thanks

Hi Hentati,

A Peplink Balance Router can certainly function as a Access Point controller, but has less features compared to InControl2.
Using a Balance Router as an Access Point controller you can centrally manage wireless SSIDs and Access Point profiles.
You can also create a Captive Portal, and see live and collected information about the access points.
You can see if Access Point’s are online or offline, connected clients, firmware management and you have access to the event-logs.
The logs and reporting features on InControl2 are more extensive compared to the local device reporting.

Kind regards,

Erik
