Any reason, not to use 8.1

Hi!

I am using some Peplink Balance with an On-Prem-IC2.
Are there any reasons not to use the latest software version 8.1? Any known issues?

Hi KPS,

we didn’t found any issues with 8.1.0. Important for you could be, that there are new SNMP MIBs with this Firmware.

The new MIB is mostly unchanged. There are only new OIDs for:

  • Cellular
  • IPSEC-VPN
  • WiFi

Sadly, nothing new to SpeedFusion like “Subtunnel-Traffic” or “Subtunnel-PacketLoss” for a WAN-WAN combination (as now visible in the WebGUI).
