Antenna MAX internal temperatures

I’m very interested in mounting a MAX BR1 Pro 5G in the new Antenna MAX but concerned about heat. I know this is a new product and probably not many in the field yet but wanted to hear anyone’s thoughts about potential internal heat issues with the MAX BR1.

The Antenna MAX looks to be passively vented so with the sun beating down on it with potential summer ambient temps pushing above 95°F, I’m concerned about exceeding the MAX BR1 rating of 149°.

I currently have the MAX in a small compartment that is vented with fans and the temp reading on top of the MAX can get close to 100° so that’s what’s got me concerned.

I am planning to install Max Antenna with Max Router for ships in Singapore anchorage, with same concerns.

Hi. Agreed. I had raised this very issue and Peplink replied here. The product concept seems excellent but given what we know about the inverse relationship between temperature and MTBF …

Thanks for the link…it wasn’t clear what the exterior heat temperature reference point was used in the testing to get those numbers. Not sure I’m up for potentially sacrificing a MAX BR1 Pro 5G to find out.
