We need to have an additional Device report in inControl2, and an additional status page on the devices as well, that show device performance over time.
It should have time periods of:
- Realtime
- Hourly
- Daily
- Monthly
- Custom
The information in the report should be:
Basic usage section:
- CPU usage graph
- WAN bandwidth usage graph
- Local (such as inter-VLAN) traffic usage graph
- Connected network user count graph
VPN/Tunnels section:
- Connected speedfusion sessions graph
- Connected remote access user sessions graph
- Connected IPSEC sessions graph
- Connected GRE sessions graph
- Connected openVPN WAN graph
Then for each of those connected VPN/Tunnels sections, have a Top 5 user/tunnel usage list.
All of the graphs should be selectable to be overlaid so they can be correlated.
This additional reporting would allow us to corelate any issues with connection failures, connection or device performance issues, etc. The CPU usage graph is nice, but as a debugging tool, it’s virtually worthless because we can only see it in real time, not over a period of time, or properly correlated with the devices actual usage and usage patterns.
