This is an issue that has arisen with my upgrade of my Surf SOHO MK2 to the MK3 that I just purchased. I am told that these units presently cannot read each other’s configuration files. I’m told that firmware 6.4 will allow this.

In my case, I have enough rules setup in my MK2 that I’ll probably not bother setting up the MK3 until the 6.4 firmware is released.
The feature request I’m suggesting, which maybe is what firmware 6.4 contains, would be to have a universal configuration file across all Pepwave routers so that as people move from one to the other, they can transfer as many settings as the two units have in common. You can write the read software to ignore any settings that don’t apply, and warn the administrator which ones those are.
