ACW-825 Antenna kit installation on the AP Pro AX (HW3), help needed

So looking for info on which antennas are the 2.4GHz vs 5GHz. The ACW-825 antenna kit has two short antennas labeled “1GF-515908B”, and two long antennas labeled “1GF-2408C” but nothing stating 2.4 or 5GHz.

Unable to find any documentation for the ACW-825 kit on the peplink website that states which is which.

The AP Pro AX does have markings on the unit casing showing which mount locations get what type of antenna.

Can’t even find a full picture of the AP Pro AX with the antennas installed.

Any guidance available??? Thanks in advance!

The kit consists of two parts: 2.4GHz (ACW-202) and 5GHz (ACW-308). The 2.4GHz antennas have the “slices” in the metal support at the base of the antenna (the two on the left below):

Hi Christopher,

I like to have documentation that lists part numbers and shows installation, and there isn’t anything online. And as you’ll see below, even the picture in the Peplink store doesn’t show the true differance in the sizes of the antennas.

I used the label numbers on the antennas “XGF-5XXXXX” to mean the 5GHz antennas and the “XGF-24XXX” as the 2.4GHz antennas to get them into the correct location but you have now confirmed this.

Here is how they look before assembly, the 2.4GHz antennas are about 18" long, 5GHz about 12" long. I’ll get a picture of the installation.

Only reason I’m going into detail here is so anyone in the future can do a search and land them here.

So thank you Christopher for your help!

Remember that transmissions at 2.4GHz will have a longer wavelength than those at 5GHz, so the longer antenna makes sense that it would be 2.4. In my original reply, I identified this (except backwards) and instead of fixing it I decided to give you a bit more definitive detail (the hashes in the base).

Glad I was able to help
