Access Control Issue on Balance 20x

I have access control setup on my SSIDs with the “deny all except listed” option. certain hosts/devices are unable to connect despite their MAC being added to the list. I connected my iPhone to the SSID with the restriction on and my iPhone had no issues. Numerous hosts have this issue but one in particular is a netgear extender.

It is not a mistyped or incorrect MAC address issue because when i turn off access control, I can see the host connect and listed in the clients list with the same MAC address that is in the list.

Anyone have any ideas?

Just to confirm, the Wi-Fi LAN devices are not enabled with “Randomized MAC Address”, as this may affect access control behavior.

For your reference, I tested this on my B20x, and so far the Access Control List is working as expected as long as the WIFI LAN devices does not have Randomized MAC enabled.

Hi sitloongs- that is correct. some of the devices that could not connect dont even have that option for a randomized/private MAC address. such things as a netgear range extender, Hi-Sense portable air conditioner, wifi controlled smart plug, etc

The device i was testing the other day was the netgear range extender.
