5G Internet Speed Test with the BR1 Pro 5G

Recently, our Peplink engineer in Taiwan performed a test using our MAX BR1 Pro 5G under the 5G network to see what speeds this device is capable of.
Below is the background information of the carrier used in this test:
● 5G Mode: Non-Standalone, 3.5Ghz + 700Mhz/2100Mhz
● 4G Band: Band 1, 3, 7, 8, 28, 38
● 5G Band: n1, n3, n28, n41. n78
● Bandwidth: 80MHz
As for the setup, the engineer’s computer was connected to a MAX BR1 Pro 5G with a Mobility 40G.

To get a more accurate result, the engineer ran speedtests in 2 different locations. The following are the results from both locations.
At location A, these were the signal status and speedtest results respectively.

At location B, these were the signal status and speedtest results respectively.

After conducting both tests, the engineer got the following average results:
The average 5G download speed was 730Mbps, while its peak was 835Mbps.
For the 5G upload speed, it averaged at 169Mbpsand peaked at 180Mbps.
These results were then compared with benchmark speeds provided by Opensignal. Shown in the image below, the benchmark for 5G download speeds in Taiwan is 274.2Mbps, while that of 5G upload speeds in Taiwan is 35.2Mbps.

Comparing these figures with the speeds achieved by Peplink’s MAX BR1 Pro 5G and Mobility 40G, it’s evident that our Peplink devices make 5G more than just work, but they make 5G connectivity fast and reliable.
