Yes, we do have a 5G Adapter with an Ethernet port coming, though the look is not the same as the 5G Dongle.

Does the 5G adapter with Ethernet also have USB-C output like the 5G dongle, or is it only Ethernet connectivity?

Is it designed for portability like the dongle? Or is it more like an updated Max adapter with 5G? MAX Adapter - An Economical, Flexible LTE Cellular Modem

  4. Is the dongle able to do a speedfusion vpn connection to another router? e.g. I have another router at a location and I want all traffic from my dongle to actually go through it.

@Travis Will the 5G Dongle support Synergy Mode? It is frustrating to need to login to a separate device in IC2 to change SIM priorities?

Also, I seem to have run into an issue when plugging this device into another Peplink router on the USB WAN (MBX in my example), until I changed the 5G dongle to a different subnet than 192.168.50.x. My suspicion is that the overlap on the WAN was causing issues between the MBX and 5G dongle sharing the same range.

that would be cool if it supported synergy mode! even cooler is the version that is coming that has an ethernet port. hopefully that will allow it to be powered PoE. Can the current version use a usb to ethernet adapter?

This is on the roadmap, but I don’t have a clear timeline yet. I have pinged the developers to check - I’ll keep you posted.

The one that comes with an Ethernet port is the 5G Adapter. It has a ruggedized unit with PoE powered port and LED signal bar. The 5G Adapter is around the corner.

For the 5G dongle, it supports USB Ethernet.
