They all look identical and I definitely see how that is confusing. All you need to do is forget the MAX Adapter (at least the 5G version).
We’ve changed the name because the 5G Dongle is quite different:
- USB Ethernet Interface: No drivers, just plug it in and get an IP address, even without a cellular connection. Works on Mac, Linux, PC
- Direct IC2 Integration: Once the dongle has a network connection, it automatically phones home to IC2, just like any Peplink router - no connection manager software utility needed
- You can log into the device via IP address (192.168.50.1) just like a peplink router so you can troubleshoot and validate settings locally or remotely
- This model has the Qualcomm X62 chipset for true 5G SA
- Same form factor as before, metal bottom with rugged plastic top
To some of your other questions, this is not released yet, so the datasheet may have some gaps or errors but we are updating it this week.
