2.4 ghz or 5 ghz?

I have a Pepwave Max BR1 Mini. Works great mostly but I think the range is too short for what I need. Regardless… I have a wireless camera that works on the 2.4 ghz band only. It connects to my Verizon JetPack with no issue. When trying to connect it to the Pepwave it puts a note on the screen about it being a 2.4 ghz device only, and after about 20 seconds of trying to connect the connection fails. I asked support but didn’t get a response… how can I make sure the mini is 2.4 vs both?

Hi Mark. The Mini does not have a 5GHz radio in it – only 2.4GHz.
As a general rule, 5GHz “range” is less than 2.4, so I doubt if that is causing your issue.
One thing I would suggest is to ensure you are running the current firmware which is 8.1.3 (8.2.0 in a couple of days.)
