can this switch work on 12v power? will I get POE?
Yes, this switch is rated to be powered by DC voltage of 12-56v.
Not if you are only inputting 12v DC power. The device doesn’t have any way built in to increase the voltage. If you read the fine print underneath the table on the datasheet, “@ PoE output requires a minimum of 48V power input.”
To get POE you’d need to use a step up DC voltage transformer to boost from 12V to 48V which will give you POE.
