Guys, anyway servers to time sync be changed? I’m leaking and calling servers in Russian Federation to set up time ?!

Have photos of requests made in DNS provider might anyone ask!

Please take notice and upgrade! Thanks

That is how the NTP Pool works, this is not a problem for Peplink to “solve” as in many regards they are behaving correctly as a hardware vendor by getting a proper setup from the NTP Pool and configuring it in their devices by default. ( pool.ntp.org: The NTP Pool for vendors )

If you don’t want that behaviour then there are other publicly available NTP servers to use:

Google operates some S1 public NTP servers on well known, stable IPs and hosts, though they implement smeared time so you may want to understand if that has some implications for you.

Cloudflare also operates a network of S1 time servers, similar to what Google offers.

You do not state where you are located, but you could change to using the zone based NTP pool addresses (UK example linked above) which under normal circumstances directs your queries to a server from that region rather than globally.

Use GPS - depending on the model of your Peplink and firmware it may also have an option to direct sync time via GPS, with fallback to NTP if that is not available.

Use your ISPs NTP servers - most providers will operate an NTP server that can be used by their customers, though they may not make that information easy to obtain.

Edit:

Incase it was not obvious, you go to System > Time to change the NTP server setting.

android.pool.ntp.org is also going to russia. that was compreensive. thanks. changing tho don’t want to take any BIT from my soho overthere. wonder if that shouldn’t be something to worry nowadays.

Shouldn´t we be able to set up system time manually? (no servers request, I go back to 2017 everytime ntp is not correct after reset and configuring before plugging to internet)

On my device, the Time Server field is read-only. Any trick to make it editable?

Weird. try a different browser? You should just be able to click and type over the top of the default entry.
